Have you ever experienced something magical, like watching a shower of shooting stars rain down over open waters, and wished you could encapsulate that moment into something material so it would last forever? That is exactly what Louis Vuitton set out to do when they created their latest addition to Les Parfums Louis Vuitton. The new scent, Attrape-Rêves (French for dream catcher), is composed of African cocoa flower, peony accord, lychee, and Turkish rose absolute, creating an addictive and mysterious scent. Ginger and bergamot-like flavour enhancers amplify the perfume’s contrasts and freshness.

The popular French fashion house called upon Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, who took the inspiration of fleeting moments that you wish you could keep forever and produced an enchanting composition that stirs the senses and reminds us all of those celebratory experiences.

To grasp onto those impossible-to-capture moments, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud let himself be guided by an African cacao flower. This regressive base note is on-trend, as the upcoming season is favouring powerful, sensual scents. The added fresh and luminous bouquet of peony and reinforcements of a noble patchoulol, and a hint of sweetness from lychee and Turkish rose truly amplify an elegant, fresh perfume.

“It’s a dialogue between precious ingredients that, in theory, have no reason to cohabit. And yet, on the skin, they converse, interfuse, crepitate, and command attention,” says Cavallier Belletrud.

Attrape-Rêves is certainly a majestic jubilation that is impossible to go unnoticed. Available in key cities beginning September 7th and with a global launch on September 13, the perfume is available in refillable, customizable bottles of 100ml ($240) and 200ml ($350). There is also a 7.5ml ($240) travel spray that comes with magnetic refills. Perfect for a gift or for travelling, a special case crafted my LV and marked with customized initials are available in natural leather, monogrammed canvas or white, black, rose ballerine, and freesia Epi leather.
