UNTTLD’s fall/winter 2013 collection was revealed at Toronto’s World MasterCard Fashion Week. The Montreal duo behind the brand, José Manuel St-Jacques and Simon Bélanger opted for a monochromatic pallet of classic black and white for the season’s looks. Although the clothing may have been sparse in colour, it was certainly lively with texture; simple cuts and elegant lines were emphasized by pebbled leather, fur, and feathered fabric. Deconstructing classics like the tuxedo, bombers or a trench coat into simple yet standout pieces, like that leather jacket paired with a half mesh top are on our must have list, along with their elegant twist on the perfect white tee. UNTTLD delivered a collection that will have us reaching for everything monochromatic next fall, proving that there’s nothing more chic than an all black ensemble.
