Chanel has created an elegant and iconic tim piece for the Only Watch Auction 2015

For the fourth year and counting, fashion power-house Chanel will contribute to a worthy cause. The Only Watch Biennial Charity Auction is an event where all proceeds from sales will fund research for Duchenne muscular dystrophy —a disease affecting 1 in 3600 males. Taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, the mecca of watchmaking, Chanel will donate a custom crafted watch that embodies the refined and elegant essence of the brand.

The “Mademoiselle Privé” is a unique timepiece that focuses on exceptional craftsmanship, precision, and artistry. This piece was born through a collaboration with Masion Lesage, a French couture specialty house with unmatched skill in the art of embroidery.

The watch features embroidered camellia petals on its face, accompanied by 3 pearls, against a fabric backdrop. Both the case and the dial hands are made of 18-carat white gold and the case is ornamented with brilliant cut diamonds. It’s also water resistant up to 30 meters. Add a satin white strap, and you have a timeless work of art with an incredible attention to detail. The auction takes place on November 5th, with the watch expected to sell for 40,000 €.
