Working alongside Karl Lagerfeld as his right hand woman for the past 30 years,  Virginie Viard took centre stage as Chanel‘s new Creative Director.

Viard set in motion her debut with the 2020 cruise collection and we were all aboard the Chanel train.  Breakfast was served inside of the carriages  and guests hopped off the Chanel Express into the train station with destinations ‘Saint Tropez’, ‘Antibes,’ ‘Rome,’ and ‘Byzance’ in evidence.

Wax cotton utility coats and draping trencoats strolled the runway followed by knit sets some highlighted by neon pink, others layered over modernized suiting; a refreshing new perspective. Layered chiffon dresses knotted with bowed belts, and a line up of beyond desirable accessories brought an air of freshness to the Maison.
