On September 11, creative director of Coach, Stuart Vevers, presented the Spring 2019 collection at Pier 94 in New York City.

The New York fashion house of Coach is renowned for its all-American attitude and innovative expression of free-spirit. True to their distinguished authenticity, the inspiration for the Spring 2019 collection came from reconstructing the craft and nature of the American look. The concept is of a reinvented new romantic gang, with dreamers traversing an unraveled prairie landscape in the wake of their revolution, which trails scavenged and salvaged American heirlooms. Through Coach’s collaboration with Disney, the collection also re-contextualizes the beloved American pop culture icons, creating relics for the future. Elaborate frills, tassels, and lace are featured within the designs, along with novel leather and denim structuring. The collection as a whole portrays an enchanting sense of wonder, while stunningly displaying New York fashion.

The show set-up gave an entrancing atmosphere with an extraordinary dinosaur-like structure being central on the runway. Mr. Vevers presented his latest collection to a star-studded audience, amongst them Lakeith Stanfield, Maisie Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Bria Vinaite, Jon Batiste, Guan Xiaotong, Tommy Dorfman, Olly Alexander, Dominique Jackson, Vic Mensa, Goldlink, Tyler Mitchell, Petra Collins, Paloma Elsesser, Rejjie Snow, and Violetta Komyshan, as well as singer, actress, and current face of the brand, Selena Gomez. Noted models who walked the runway included Kaia Gerber, Kiko Mizuhara Anna Collins, and Dree Hemingway who closed the show (and you might even see a familiar face below). During the show, Coach joined the nation in paying tribute to remember and honouring the victims of the September 11 terror attacks.
