Every shoe lover can agree that Converse sneakers will never go out of style. Season after season, they produce kick ass items that deliver the right balance of fashionable design and practical use.

I had the pleasure of discovering the brand’s Holiday 2015 collection earlier this month, at a presentation located in a cute restaurant in the Griffintown Neighborhood. Being a loyal fan of Converse for many years, I was pretty excited to discover the new colorways of the Chuck Taylor All Star II – the new generation of Chuck Taylors that was launched earlier this year.

This updated version of the popular sneaker doesn’t look very different from the exterior, but the real magic happens  on the inside of this year’s model. To make it more comfortable and durable, Converse made some tweaks by using a Nike Lunarlon sockliner –Nike has owned the brand since 2003– a foam padded collar, non-slip gusseted tongue, and perforated micro suede. The overall sensation when you wear it is more support under the foot arch and a comfy feeling akin to walking on tiny pillows.

From a fashion point of view, my biggest crush was for the new silhouette of the rubber model, offered in many vibrant colors. The hi-rise boot for women is perfect for the cold weather, since it has been designed for rainy and snowy temperatures. With its back entry zip and thicker heel, it is the perfect choice for every fashionista who likes to mix comfort and style.
