COS brings you the minimalist’s dream for fall.

The latest AW16 collection for COS is every minimalist’s dream, featuring oversized coats for days, culottes in all your favourite fall shades, and sweaters you may potentially get lost in. The collection was inspired by designer Martino Gamper’s 100 chairs in 100 days project, which explains the bold fabric juxtapositions like wool and silk chiffon that makes this collection of basics anything but basic. Following the traditional COS aesthetic, almost every piece is monochromatic in shades of navy, grey, blue, ochre, burgundy, and a deep forest green, guaranteed to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside come winter.

For those seeking a more sophisticated look, there’s a beige skirt with utility buttons calling your name and some A-line midi skirts made solely for the Victoria Beckham wannabes amongst us (myself included). While some sheer accents add a touch of femininity, the main appeal of this collection lies in the clean-cut lines that project a more subtle sensuality. As for me, I’m partial to the turtlenecks, because frankly, my neck gets cold, and also, Audrey Hepburn’s gamine look will always be cool.
