Winter has already been with us for too long, and we are looking for something to cure the winter blues. The new images from the Aveda Culture Clash collection might be exactly what we need to remind us that spring is on it’s way!

With an explosive new approach, Janell Geason, the Aveda Global Artistic Director for Makeup, was inspired by colours and textures from around the world. Blending tribal influences with an urban cool vibe of delicate washes of pink and blues hues for blondes, and brunettes hair is toned with a cool shade of rich mahogany. The result is fresh and out of the box for the usual colourful pastels we see every spring.

The Culture Clash makeup collection itself was created with cool and soft tones in mind, to create subtle contrast by pairing natural and earthy tones, with accents of colour. Beside the amazing looks that result from the blending of all the influences, we have to give a thumbs up to the products themselves. Made mostly with natural ingredients extracted from jasmine petals, geranium leaves, and organic spearmint, you could never tell by the smooth textures that they are all natural. You’ll find yourself literally wearing spring on your sleeve. The collection will be available in Aveda stores in February.
