Dive into a sea of Italian glamour and indulge in the luxury that surrounds you. Warning: you may get lost amidst the gowns or perhaps in your fantasies of trying them on.

The McCord museum takes you through the evolution of Italian fashion with its latest exhibit from London’s V&A, Eleganza: Italian fashion from 1945 to today. Explore the designs of Valentino, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Emilio Pucci, and other celebrated designers of the 20th century who revolutionized the post-WWII fashion industry. Featuring over 130 pieces, this collection presents an array of emblematic gowns, handbags, and shoes with the expert craftsmanship that earned them the title of “fashion tastemakers”. Accompanied by short film clips, drawings, and photographs, the exhibit transports you into the world of Italian luxury, while making you fall in love with a few dresses in the process, inevitably.

The exhibit, presented by Holt Renfrew and exclusive to Montreal, will run from May 26th to September 25th.
