FENDI launches unique capsule collection in collaboration with the Korean sunglasses and optical glasses brand Gentle Monster introducing, GENTLE FENDI.

The GENTLE FENDI Capsule Collection includes two unisex models that represent the perfect balance between innovative design and superb craftsmanship fusing FENDI’s DNA with Gentle Monster’s unpredictable vibe. Honouring the launch, the one-of-a-kind collection will be presented with a disruptive video art-directed by collection Russian artists AES+F. The film highlights a flamboyant aesthetic while combining fashion and art with a unique merge of futurism. The video portrays magical creatures wearing the GENTLE FENDI sunglasses in surreal surroundings interacting with space-like structures.  

In addition to the avant-garde video, the capsule collection will feature customized rotating installations at select FENDI and Gentle Monster boutiques worldwide: FENDI Roma Palazzo, New York Madison and Gentle Monster London and Dubai (to note some key locations). 

Available in stores starting early May 2019, the launch of GENTLE FENDI will have two special events in Gentle Monster stores in Seoul and Beijing on May 7th and May 14th which will feature international cool guests, influencers, DJs and more. 

Also, keep your eye on the two loveable sticker characters “Gennie” and “Fennie” who will come to life through GIFS on FENDI’s social medias!



The Collection:


These fashion charged sunglasses ride the small frame and bold logo wave in varying lens shades. Sharply cut semi-rimless lenses enhance futuristic feel with the GENTLE FENDI diagonal metal trims on the front in contrasting pop colour. 




Blending a strong fashion attitude with an easy-to-wear look these lightweight models have contrasting fun details. The tone-on-tone spherical lenses emphasize sophistication accented by a coloured acetate insert on the upper bridge.
