Canada’s newest skincare company just launched, setting out to create attainable, clean and effective skincare to be used by everyone. Amandine Sol Botanicals was founded by Amandine Azran, who left her journey to become a lawyer to start this company with her mother. After moving to a farm just outside of Toronto, the concept of the brand parallels that to life in the country: as simple as can be.

The brand’s inaugural product is the Inner Glow Face Oil, a blend of active botanicals and essential oils that penetrate the skin to have a multi-correctional effect. It is formulated to restore skin’s brightness and youthful texture, revealing naturally glowing skin on both men and women of all ages. It can be used all over – whether you need to battle dark under eye circles, smooth out fine lines, or just barricade against any environmental damage. The product is rich in vitamins A, C and E, as well as omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9 to deliver a full dose of nutrients to your skin in a single drop.

This hero product can be applied any time, on a fresh face or after makeup, seamlessly fitting into your current regimen for amplified effects. “This specific combination of essential oils creates the Justice League for skincare,” says Azran. “It combats and fights against anything that would attempt to distort our natural beauty; from acne to wrinkles and everything in between.”

The decision to launch a company with only one product comes from the “power of one” concept, often cited by Artemis Patrick, the CMO of Sephora. The brand’s mission is to create luxurious yet approachable products that are simple to use in a world over-complicated by skincare solutions. The product is incredibly diverse, cruelty-free, toxin-free, fragrance-free and vegan. It’s safe to say Azran captured all the demands of the market into a bottle, making one incredibly thought-out and high quality oil.

Azran grew up surrounded by the beauty industry. Her father worked as a renowned hairdresser for over 45 years, and her mother owned a beauty boutique in Montreal. Even Azran’s brother is involved, having started the well-known Colour Lab Salon in Toronto’s upscale Rosedale neighbourhood.

Azran’s passion for skincare began in childhood. She developed eczema, which caused breakouts – a nightmare for any young teen. Her mother decided to make a product to combat any flare-ups, and regularly brewed homemade masks to test out. This marked the beginning of a mother-daughter beauty journey, one that became the catalyst for their eventual business.

After her family moved to the farm, Azran and her mother began to grow their own ingredients, including lavender and calendula, and soon after, Amandine Sol Botanicals was born. The use of their home-grown ingredients ensures that every step in the creation process of their miracle oil is sustainable and environmentally-conscious.

“Having the product make in Canada is of particular importance to us for a couple of reasons,” says Azran. “One being that it eliminates the need for long distance shipping, which is harsh on the environment due to transport emissions, and another reason being that we want to grow ingredients locally and keep the product close to us and our hearts.”

Inner Glow Face Oil retails for $120 and can be purchased at or at the Colour Lab in Toronto. One bottle has a shelf life of two years and will last approximately 3.5 months if used twice a day. A portion of each product sale will be donated to St Joseph’s Hospital and St Michael’s Hospital in honour of Amadine’s mother, who was diagnosed with colon cancer just prior to the brand’s launch.
