The festival is a chance for many Canadian designers to showcase their work and vision to the public, along with being the largest outdoor happening in North America. OLIVIER THEYSKENS – Renaissance

Incredibly talented fashion designer  and visionary, Olivier Theyskens has worked as the artistic director for Rochas, Nina Ricci, and Theory and as a stylist for diverse celebrities such as Madonna, Nicole Kidman, and Emma Watson. After many years designing for others, he is now going solo with his own brand Theyskens, along with taking some time from his busy schedule to do a conference at the FMD. When we asked him in interview what were his motivations to be a part of the event, he explained his fascination and love for the many talented designers we have in the city.

 

JOHN LONDONO – I want it all

Londono is a renowned photographer who has photographed many famous faces along with advertising campaigns. He is also a regular collaborator of Dress To Kill Magazine and we are always excited to showcase his unique vision of everything surrounding art, music and fashion. The Festival is also the perfect occasion to visiti is photo exhibit NEW DAWN FADES , presenting never seen before portraits of international artists such as Beck, Xavier Dolan, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Grimes and Vanessa Paradis.
