Italian Fashion House Gucci just launched his latest short film, inspired by the Prefall 2014 Bright Diamante leather goods collection, which revives the iconic crisscoss motif in a modern, twenty-first century way.

Featuring the song “Double Edge” (GeRM Remix) by Emika, the short film recalls the rubik’s cube with its puzzling game of color coordination. Bumblebee yellow, fuchsia, deep cobalt, red, turquoise, and white all announce the upcoming season where Gucci’s leather goods feature a wide variety of bright and bold colors – from handbags including the bucket-style shoulder bag, the clutch, the top-handle tote, bowling bags, and the Boston bag, to luggage such as duffle bags, trunks, and trolleys.

About the Diamante pattern
Dating from the 1930s when it first appeared woven on luggage, the Diamante pattern features geometrics that evoke the diagonal facets of a diamond. This season, the Diamante pattern is embossed on leather for women’s handbags as well as men’s and women’s luggage.
