This month only : discover the new ELEVATED ESSENTIALS collection from Kuwalla|Tee at IIIMNKYS.

DTK headed over to IIIMNKYS last Thursday evening to check out their latest project—the launch of Montreal-based label Kuwalla|Tee‘s (Pr: [QUA-LI–TY]) pop up store. The event featured a live DJ, drinks served up by Lorbeer Brasserie, and an open Photo Booth where attendees tweeted their selfies and awarded themselves with discount codes enclosed in fortune cookies.

Kuwalla|Tee was inspired by three brothers’ frustrations when purchasing cheap 3-pack t-shirts, and their love of quality. In May 2012, they launched their first premium 3-pack cotton tees, and have since grown into a ready-to-wear clothing label that focuses on delivering the best quality basics on the market. Timelessness and comfort are the words the founders strive to be associated with when creating their clothes. And with sizes  ranging from S to XXL, they’ve formed a strong following with body shapes across the board. The label also promotes environmental consciousness by placing their 3-packs in recycled fabric salvaged during the production process, and is an active member of the 1% For The Planet organization.

As one of the selected brands that share the IIIMNKYS philosophy, Kuwalla|Tee is all about creating comfortable everyday essentials that embody the cool factor, without the flashiness. It’s THE place to go if you’re looking for essentials that fit with just about anything in your closet. The brand is also the only one in North America to be awarded  the stamp of approval from the world’s finest cotton organization thus far. Their premium cotton 3-packs are made with a 100% SUPIMA® COTTON fibre content – a softness & quality that will last you a lifetime.

For many of us out there, it’s not easy to encounter a brand that’s so instantly comfortable and familiar with. Much to my surprise, I waltzed into work the next day in full neck to ankle Kuwalla|Tee. I dubbed it casual Friday, and I must admit, this is the comfiest I have ever felt on a weekday.

The brand is also notable amongst artists and musicians— Canadian electro pop group Mister Valaire passed by last month and picked out some cool stuff. The labels clientele extends to the world’s top bloggers, from Brooklyn to Australia.
To discover this amazing brand for yourselves, check out their site at and head to their pop-up shop (which will run from May 14th to June 14th 2015) at the IIIMNKYS Les Cours Mont-Royal store.
