With the mosaic of the city of Monreale, a Sicilian town, as their backdrop, Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana pulled out all the stops for their fall/winter 2013 collection at Milan Fashion Week. The cathedral mosaics of Monreale made their way onto the shoes, bags, dresses, and jewels that walked down the runway. Gold colored stone and mosaic encrusted crowns were worn in a nod to the Byzantine, paired with lavish outfits made of wool and silk organza, brocade, herringbone, lace…  With touches of filigree and individual pieces dedicated to Saint Agatha, this collections is surely fit for a royal.
