BannerLast week, Michael Kors hosted an event of epic proportions as he touched down in Shanghai and took over the Hongqiao Airport hangar appropriately entitled ‘‘Jet Set Experience’’.

The event was held to celebrate the opening of their new flagship store in Shanghai, China. Kors designed a capsule collection of iconic looks from his 30 years of designing as screens behind the runway transported the guests to various locations that inspire his designs such as Aspen, St. Barth’s and New York.

Models including Miranda Kerr walked down a supersized runway placed in front of a parked private jet embellished with the designer’s name on it. Each piece inspired by Kors’ career was chic and glamourous. Think elegant cashmere turtleneck sweaters and dresses, body-hugging skirts, lush furs and of course, show-stopping gowns. Adding to the the lux of the evening, an A-list guestlist including Hilary Swank, Camilla Belle, Freida Pinto and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley attended the event all dress in Kors’ designs.

Here is a sneak peak of what the collection looked like!
