From colourful prints to layers of lace, these are the trends we liked the most from this year’s Milan Fashion Week.

As we are almost done with the madness of fashion month, we can already picture what trends we will be wearing next fall.  In opposition to New York where everything was more on the rocker chic side, the runway trends spotted in Milan flirt with a more romantic and feminine aesthetic. Even if you have already spotted them on your Instagram feed, here are some fashion statements you will definetely fall in love with.

Next fall’s most ladylike embellishment, the bow is the final touch on many runway looks previewed on Milan’s catwalk. It serves as a necklace at Dolce & Gabbana, while it delicately accentuates the waist at Prada. In a more classic option, the bow ties the neck at Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini to turn us into true Victorian  dames.

Oversized Brocade Jackets

There will be no boring coats next fall thanks to those shinny and colourful prints spotted on many runways during Milan Fashion Week. At Pucci, it’s all about the baggy and boxy aspect of the coat, while Alberta Ferretti offers a softer vesion composed of a delicate silk belt. No matter which version you opt for, your outfit will be everything except a drag.

Black Lace

Here to prove that you can be super feminine while keeping staying edgy, the black lace trend is coming back almost every fall. The 2016 version is all about sheer effects and different textures and layers. At Gimba, it surfs on the boudoir trend that we have seen worn on many red carpets over the last few months, while taking a more modern approach at Philipp Plein.
