According to WWD.com, an formal announcement from the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton group will be expected later on today announcing Sebastian Suhl, chief executive officer of Givenchy, to be the new CEO of Marc Jacobs International.

Just like how Marc Jacobs was replaced by Nicolas Ghesquiere at Louis Vuitton, Philippe Fortunato, former president and CEO of the North Asia region of Louis Vuitton, will be stepping in to fill Suhl’s shoes as the new CEO of Givenchy. Known as one of the most promising young executives of his generation, Sebastian Suhl has an extensive career in the luxury fashion business for the tender age of 48.

Prior to joining Givenchy in 2012, after experiences in working at both the french fashion house of Courreges and working under the Beglian designer Josephus Thimister, he had a lengthy career at Prada Group as the general manager of France which would prove to be essential in aiding Jacobs with his preparation in readying his fashion house for a initial public offering. The Marc Jacobs brand has been growing at a steady pace with its Marc by Marc Jacobs accessories, fragrances, children’s wear and new colour cosmetics line (only available at Sephora) paving the way for new profit gains.
