One runway show that brought back the not so distant memories of summer was that of Moncler Gamme Rouge’s S/S 15 ready-to-wear collection during Paris Fashion Week designed by Giambattista Valli.

Taking a cue from the texture and shine of embellishments, Giambattista Valli had his runway decorated in a sparkling sea blue setting and the luminescent effect it gave was just like overlooking the sea just as the sun was about to set. “I was thinking of the south of France, the Mediterranean, the girls in St Tropez,” said Valli. Sea-foam white and carnation red were the lead colours of this easy feel sporty collection, and strategically placed in their midst closing off the show was a multicoloured sequin jacket over a pale rose windbreaker that resembled rainbow fish scales. In all, it was a high performance yet fashionable collection that exuded the very touch of femininity.
