Seems like in Italy, after the storm comes more rain. Last June, tax authorities took on Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, prescribing a fine of 343.3 million euros for tax evasion by selling their brand to Luxembourg company Gabo. They were eventually sentenced to 20 months in prison.

This time, Italian fashion designer Miuccia Prada, husband Patrizio Bertelli and their accountant, Marco Salomoni, are the ones under the microscope for allegedly committing the same criminal offence. It is also heard that the company has already paid an unconfirmed amount to settle with Italian tax authorities.

Once again, the charges concerning the affair are pretty ground breaking at a near 400 million euros. Authorities found that major shareholder of the company Prada Holding was where the money was secured.

Though whispers have been heard over the last few months, the secret is finally out. But to this day, the Italian Fashion house still denies any misdemeanour.
