Singer, actress, producer, and social media darling extraordinaire Selena Gomez was recently announced to be the new face of American fashion powerhouse Coach’s Fall 2017 campaign. A natural beauty and acclaimed fashion icon, Gomez exudes the brand’s All-American essence perfectly.

In the campaign, the Bad Liar singer portrays the everyday American girl preparing for a road trip. As she lounges in the vintage 1976 Plymouth Fury — symbol of freedom and endless possibilities —, Gomez’s smokey makeup and natural hair blends in perfectly with the warm tones of the leather seats.

Well-known fashion collaborators worked on this campaign, with images by Steven Meisel to styling by Karl Templer, makeup by McGrath and hair by Guido Palau. Creative director Stuart Vevers says of Gomez that she is a “rebel and a romantic, a dreamer and a doer who boldly charts her own course. To [him], she speaks to a generation; she connects.” The singer herself was honoured to be part of this campaign, and stated that she “couldn’t be more proud to be the face of Coach”.

Just in time for the fall, the label came out with three short films dedicated to the three key bags of the season: the Rogue, the Coach Swagger, and the Edie. Each film, starring the newest muse, shows Gomez getting ready in the beautiful city of New York, home of the leather goods brand.
