Marking a pivotal step for the international expansion of Valentino, the Maison revealed a 4,600 square foot boutique which opened on March 1st in Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The in-store concept crafted by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccoli together with David Chipperfield Architects, promotes a more retail feel veering away from a showroom approach.

Collections are displayed on curved shelving in blonde oak with polished brass highlights and LED lighting which illuminates individual displays. Rich tones of green, blue and blush velvet add opulence and glamour to the sleek space, and honour the brand DNA of craftsmanship, romanticism and classical style.

The interiors have a Palazzo-like feel with terrazzo floors consisting of marble chips, quartz, granite, and other fine materials mixed together to create a speckled surface. The Venetian palladiana openings direct the flow of the space, adding lightness to the overall atmosphere.

The new boutique will carry both womenswear and menswear as well as ready-to-wear, accessories and perfume.
