Everyone knows that the future is female, and it’s time we start celebrating women designers that are bringing their unique touches to the fashion world. Here are 5 of our favourite female designers from Québec for the hip, contemporary woman.

Eve Gravel – Founded in Montreal, Eve Gravel has been around for more than 15 years. Creating timeless, modern designs, the brand makes clothing that can be defined as ‘feminine casual,’ paying great attention to details and tailoring. From everyday essentials to statement pieces, Eve Gravel’s collections are versatile, suiting a variety of styles and lifestyles, catering to a diverse range of women. All clothing is made out of their workshop in Montreal’s Mile End, with an emphasis on local materials and craftsmanship.
Valerie Dumaine – Based in Montreal, Valerie Dumaine loves refined, bold garments characterized by elegant and clean lines. Offering pieces that are both casual and sophisticated, her collections are assertive and unique. Completely made in Canada, Dumaine’s clothes are now also fully vegan. Her “Compassion and Design” series supports organizations that have caring for the well-being of animals as a mandate. For her F/W and S/S 2020 collections, Dumaine will be donating a percentage of the proceeds of those collections to the Fauna Foundation. Body Bag – Now based in Montreal, Judith Desjardins premiered Body Bag in 1998 after years of selling capsule collections in underground boutiques in New York City and Montreal. Featured in prestigious media outlets internationally, even huge Hollywood stars like Angelina Jolie and Drew Barrymore have rocked Nadya Toto, and she also has four showrooms in cities like Montreal, Toronto, New York and Vancouver. Her pieces are effortless and elegant, all while being incredibly trendy and stylish, made for the modern woman.
Veronique Miljkovitch – Veronique Miljkovitch combines raw, sensual texture with an emphasis on relaxed European fits, making pieces that are refined and timeless.
