  Toronto

The Feral — 890 Queen St

This all-black everything paradise redefines the darker side of fashion with avant-garde pieces by the same designer behind Sons of Odin: the popular menswear brand co-signed by rappers like 2 Chainz and Waka Flocka. The online-turned-store operation now carries women’s stuff too; the entire right side of the store now sells the female equivalents to what’s offered on the men’s hangers to the left along with more feminine pieces.

Vancouver

ONE OF A FEW —353 Water St

Located in the trendy neighbourhood of Gastown, One of a Few is a lovely boutique where you’ll always find something to treat yourself. The clothing selection blends a nice mix of well-known designers with emerging ones. Along with the great selection of clothes, they also have shoes, bags and jewelry. As the name suggests, they don’t carry a huge inventory of each piece. So, if you’re the type of person who likes to keep a curated wardrobe of pieces you won’t see on everyone else, this is a great spot for you.

This family-run boutique specializes in wearable 60s–90s vintage and on-trend men’s and women’s clothing. Velour is a hot spot for the fashion-forward. Their space is totally welcoming and fun, too, so even if you’re a vintage newbie you’ll feel at home. It’s Calgary’s first dedicated buy/sell/trade clothing store, so Velour definitely earned a rep for itself. From Levi’s to Hermes to Nike, there’s something for every taste at this spot.
