Breitling’s rainbow superocean heritage ’57
Breitling has just unveiled yet another re-release of a classic, giving it the rainbow treatment this time.
—By Luisa Tarantino
Originally released in 1957, the SuperOcean watch channelled the California surfer vibes of the 1960s, making for a casual and effortless yet classic dive watch.
This new SuperOcean retains the original’s classic silhouette but has new modern touches. With a 42 mm wrist, a ceramic bezel ring, and Breitling’s certified Caliber 10 movement (which makes for a power reserve of 42 hours), this newly updated SuperOcean retains its capabilities as a dive watch, being water resistant for up to 100 metres. The watch comes with the choice of a black leather strap or a silver steel strap.
This special Rainbow edition, with the colors of yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, red, and orange adorning the 13,6,9, and 12-hour markers, will be limited to just 250 models. It is priced at $5025 USD.
