James Franco’s new movie
ZEROVILLE

Looking for a new movie to watch in theatres this Fall? Based on Steve Erickson’s 2007 novel, Zeroville, James Franco’s new comedy-drama comes out in theatres Friday, September 20th.

—Luisa Tarantino

The star studded film is directed by Franco and features hilarious stars such as Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Will Ferrell, and Craig Ferguson as well as an appearance by the younger Franco, Dave Franco.

The film follows an avid film enthusiast named Vikar in 1969 Hollywood. So enamored with film as he is, Vikar has a tattoo of Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor from his favorite film, 1951’s A Place in the Sun on his cleanly shaven head. Vikar arrives in Hollywood during a transitional period in the industry and begins his ascent in the industry by building film sets before becoming an apprentice to a film director. He becomes mesmerized by Megan Fox’s character, a budding actress named Soledad. Together, they begin a Hollywood dreamlike journey that blurs the lines between reality and illusion.
