2021’s porsche 911 Targa 4 and 4S Models
Having debuted in 1966, porsche announced two new models under the targa moniker for 2021, the 911 targa 4 and the 4s.

A new addition to the carmaker’s much loved 911 models, the new Targa 4 and 4S offer a contemporary spin on a classic design, with the car’s exterior being characterised by the design elements of its 992 model generation. In comparison to its predecessors, the body features more pronounced wheel housings at the front, and its bonnet has a distinctive recess, which instead evokes the design elements of the 911 generation. The interior remains classic and distinguished, drawing inspiration from the 911 models from the 1970s. It’s distinguishing feature however, remains its fully automatic roof system, which can be comfortably opened and closed in just 19 seconds.
Powered by a six-cylinder, three-litre boxer engine with twin turbochargers, the Targa 4 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, while the 4S reaches the 100 km/h mark in just 3.6 seconds under the same conditions. As for top speeds, the Targa 4 hits a top speed of 289 km/h, while the 4S peaks at 304 km/h.
Both models will be available in Canada this Fall 2020. The 2021 911 Targa 4 begins at $136,000 while the 911 Targa 4S starts at $154,100.
