for their latest collaboration, alpina is releasing the 2021 xb7, a high-performance version of BMW’s biggest SUV.

Powered by BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8, having a peak of 612 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, and top speed of 180 mph, this new three-row SUV model by Alpina promises to be a beast. In order to churn out 90 more HP than the V-8, the XB7 is equipped with larger twin-scroll turbochargers, additional water coolers, a larger transmission oil cooler, Alpina-specific intercoolers, and a stainless-steel exhaust system.
As for design, Alpina’s classic 20-spoke design is complemented by 23-inch anthracite wheels and fine Lavinia upholstery with blue and green contrast stitching and Alpina details (there are three interior trim options, all with Alpina badging: Myrtle luxury wood, Piano lacquer, and Natural Walnut Anthracite) that offer comfort just as much as they offer luxury. Other exterior changes include the car’s significantly lowered stance, the front bumper which includes larger air intakes and “Alpina” script across the front splitter, and two twin tailpipes integrated into the Alpina rear diffuser.
The XB7 will be available in the US circa September 2021, starting at $142,295 USD.
