The AMB 001 marries the best of Aston Martin and Brough – the bike’s intercooler and intake manifold make the motorcycle’s appearance wider and more aggressive, yet it retains that classic Aston Martin slickness, complemented by state-of-the-art Brough Superior engineering.
Although the bike is still in the testing stage, Aston Martin x Brough have announced the following impressive specs: a 180 horsepower from a turbocharged, 88-degree V-twin engine — which is rather unusual for a motorcycle given that turbocharged engine not only makes the bike heavier but also produces a sudden, powerful torque that is more suited to cars. In response, Aston Martin assures that the “modern turbine with low inertia is avoiding the turbo lag that was damageable on the Turbo motorcycle attempts from the ’80s.”
The bike weighs only 396 pounds due to the carbon fibre used for the body. The leather seat is made of luxury leather, and high-quality stitching that matches the handlebar grips. The iconic Aston Martin Wings logos found on the body are made from a thin laser-cut metal sheet, achieving a perfect finish from added lacquer layers. The unique AMB 001-designed wheels are machined from aluminum forgings.
The AMB 001 motorcycle is a limited edition model, and only 100 models will be made. Deliveries are scheduled to begin this Fall. The MSRP starts at €108 000.
You can watch the bike’s first test-ride that took place at the Pau-Arnos track in France below.
