Keeping in the tradition of blue watches, this new Navy Blue model draws on the brand’s iconic ‘TUDOR Blue’ brand aesthetic. The watch gets its name from it’s colour palette, but also makes reference to TUDOR’s first divers’ watch released in 1958, with the first blue divers’ watch released about a decade later. Mimicking a variety of the aesthetics of the “Big Crown” divers’ watch, the Navy Blue Black Bay 58 has a 39 mm case and a thin strap, keeping with the characteristics proportions of the 1950s.
The 39 mm case is made of a 316L stainless steel, featuring a Navy Blue domed, sapphire crystal dial with applied hour-markers, “Snowflake” hands (a mark of TUDOR divers’ watches since 1969) with Super-LumiNova® capabilities, and a power reserve of 70 hours. The model comes with three strap/bracelet options: the riveted 316L steel bracelet with polished and satin-brushed finish, the blue “soft touch” with folding clasp and safety catch, or the blue fabric strap with silver band and buckle. The fabric strap is also a hallmark of TUDOR watches, with the fabric being produced by the Julien Faure company.
The watch is available through partnering retailers and ranges from $3,850 to $4,210.
