DTK’s Pop-up Launch Party
A SPARKLING SUCCESS
On Tuesday, November 19th, Dress to Kill threw a launch party to celebrate the opening of its very first pop-up shop, Le Magasin Général, located at QuartierDix30’s LeBlok. The event was a success, with a series of celebs and leaders in Canadian and Quebecois fashion and culture in attendance. With the mission of celebrating local designers and creators, DTK’s launch party put the spotlight on our local talent.

Although it was a cold, snowy Tuesday night in Brossard, Dress to Kill’s launch party was a sparkling success. With a number of guests coming together to discover our curated selection of Canadian and Quebecois designers and creators, as well as to network with likeminded creatives, Le Magasin Général proved itself as a premier destination for a unique, one-of-a-kind shopping experience. The café-boutique, which features an olive green vintage Porsche that is also for sale, and a beautiful mix of contemporary and vintage decor, offered guests a truly unique space to meet and shop. With an open bar and tunes from special guest DJ Lost Heroes, this was a launch party that was not to be missed.
Among the attendees were some of your favourite stars from Quebecois TV series, Occupation Double, like Gabriel Daoust, Catherine Paquin, Jade Mercure Binette, Tomy Jo, and Karine St-Michel. Even more, actors and actresses like Annie Hudon, Roxanne Gaudette Loiseau, Antoine Desrochers, Joey Scarpilleno, and many more attended. Legendary Quebecois designer Jean-Claude Poitras, of which is an inspiration to us all, likewise came to celebrate his fellow Canadian peers, along with designer Pascal Labelle.
Even though it was a star-studded event, this diverse group of stars and creatives came together to discover Canadian fashion, making our local talent the real stars of the event. For Dress to Kill, the launch party emphasized the goal of Le Magasin Général – an opportunity to promote high-quality, local Canadian and Quebecois brands and encourage consumers to support their local designers. As an extension of our mission and values, the event brought people together to promote diversity in all sectors and promote the talented, passionate homegrown designers and creatives that we admire.
Open until December 31st, Le Magasin Général is a one-stop shop for all things fashion, beauty, interior design, design, art, and jewellery, with a focus on local designers.
