Editor’s Pick:

The hype around French Designer Jacquemus continues to be exponential, and it appears his it-bag, the Chiquito, is still going strong. For his SS 2021 collection, entitled L’Amour, Jacquemus added a small upgraded to the iconic bag: a flexible strap.

The bag, just like the original Chiquito, comes in an array of vibrant colours and is made out of premium cowskin leather. The added strap allows you to carry it as a top handle, or use the strap for a hands-free option. For the show, the bag only appeared in what appears to be small and medium versions, with colours matching the collections’ warm, earthy, and summery tones. We love the idea of the strap being a ‘noeud’, or knot — it adds an interesting detail and silhouette to a hand-carried bag, and the flexible strap is both practical and allows for variety in how the bag can be styled. While somewhat overhyped, we still think the bag is a sure classic.

You can pre-order the bag from the L’Amour Collection through Jacquemus’ website, with an estimated arrival date between December 2020 and March 2021.
