Canada Welcomes

Goop Fans Rejoice! Sephora Canada is bringing the luxe clean beauty line to the masses on February 28. Goop, a brand synonymous with Gwyneth Paltrow, has become a noun, adjective, and verb for a certain lifestyle – one of clean beauty, aspirational living, and cutting edge wellness.

This week sees the launch of  Goop’s clean beauty brand en masse to Canadians, which  kicks off with their top selling GOOPGLOW product line. Like with everything they do, Goop takes a lifestyle perspective, combining integrated collections focused around a singular benefit and offers consumers a simplified regime designed for maximum results. Designed to truly transform skin texture, the GOOPGLOW collection exfoliates, smooths, and brightens for healthy, luminous, glowing skin. The assortment includes: Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator, the Body Luminizer Cream,  20% Vitamin C + Hyaluronic Glow Serum, Overnight Glow Peel, and the drinkable Powder Mix.

Launched in 2008, Goop is arguably the leader in the clean beauty movement, and is now joining forces with the Clean at Sephora initiative. This move allows the modern lifestyle brand to reach a wider customer, one who is interested in a wellness oriented lifestyle, and clean hard working skincare ingredients. A match made in retail heaven for Canadians who might not make it to a Goop retail store down south or one of a handful of their independent prestige stockists. “Gwyneth Paltrow and her team at Goop have been innovators in the wellness and beauty space since they launched the Goop platform. They were among the first to define ‘clean’ in beauty and take a strong stand for transparency and safety of the highest standards. With our Clean at Sephora initiative and the growing demand from our clients for clean products, we are thrilled to partner with Goop to bring this incredible brand and products to Canada,” said Jane Nugent, Senior VP Merchandising at Sephora Canada.

“Gwyneth Paltrow and her team at Goop have been innovators in the wellness and beauty space since they launched the Goop platform. They were among the first to define ‘clean’ in beauty and take a strong stand for transparency and safety of the highest standards.”

Goop, originally an online media platform, are the masters of content and commerce, having evolved the industry to provide their fans, readers, and shoppers a 360-degree holistic approach to lifestyle. Through their website, IRL events like In Goop Health, the new Netflix series, and their carefully crafted product offering, Goop offers clients a fully immersive holistic experience that is clean, holistic, and results-driven. SVP of Beauty at Goop, Erin Cotter explains that “it goes back to the core, Goop is a media content platform, the idea isn’t just to put on a moisturizer or exfoliator, and that’s all you need to do. We are really about your health and beauty from a broader perspective. We write about meditation or foam rolling – those examples are things that together are giving you the tools to live a healthy holistic life. We then go a step further and bring our content to life through experiences and various touch points like the wellness summit or Netflix series.”

Sitting at the intersection of beauty and wellness is Goop who will continue to innovate in the clean beauty space, staying on the cutting edge. When asked how they always stay ahead of the curve, Erin explains, “At our recent all staff meeting, lead by Gwyneth, that topic came up. Ultimately it comes from her – she is very curious and always seeking what’s new, what’s out there, and asks the questions, which is the essence of the brand. It comes from her and her own curiosity.” If anything is supposed to keep the mind and spirit healthy, it’s the curiosity of something new. There is no better tonic or cream than a new idea or topic to explore, but while we are doing the exploring we might as well all do it  (happily) with glowing skin.

Launching February 28th at select Sephora retail locations and

GOOPGLOW Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator $175

A word from Gwyneth: “As many of you know, I love exfoliating— for me, it’s the key to glowy, fresh, healthy-looking skin. I’ve always loved microdermabrasion at the dermatologist’s office for an intense physical exfoliation that really makes an immediate difference. I wanted to be able to get next-level soft, refined, radiant skin at home…and this, people, is it. It’s a powerful facial in a little jar.”

GOOPGLOW  Powder Mix $82

“A daily drink formulated with six antioxidants: vitamins C and E, CoQ10, grape-seed extracts, lutein, and zeaxanthin.”

GOOPGLOW Vitamin C + Hyaluronic Acid Glow Serum $165

“No matter what your skin type, it can likely benefit from topical vitamin C. Topical vitamin C visibly improves the look of skin, and because it’s a super potent antioxidant, it also helps protect your skin from free radical damage (and the signs of premature aging that damage can cause). “

GOOPGLOW  Glycolic Acid + Fruit Extracts Overnight Glow Peel $175

“A gentle overnight acid peel that delivers an effective yet mild level (five percent) of glycolic acid to help improve the look and feel of skin while you sleep.”

GOOPGLOW Body Luminizer $66

“Gwyneth Paltrow has always loved the way makeup artists sometimes mix highlighter and lotion together to give legs, shoulders, décolletage, and collarbones a flattering, skin-perfecting glow before red-carpet events and parties.”
