At least one new fashion film emerges per year. Us fashion hungry folk are being fed three succulent films this season alone. From the incognito Margiela to iconic Iris Apfel, if you’re as passionate as we are, you’ll digest them all.

The timing could not be more perfect for this release. Martin Margiela, whose face wasn’t identified during his tenure at his own label, is finally getting praise. Although Galliano is undeniably talented, I’m not a fan of him being the Creative Director of MMM. This short film includes words from influential fashion figures who Margiela himself, requested to be interviewed. It’ll be worth watching before the DNA of the brand disappears…
– released on the 15th of April in the US.

Finally released this month in the U.S. & Canada, Dior and I follows Raf Simons as he takes the helm of Dior in 2012. He had 8 weeks to design and produce an entire couture collection. As former minimalist creative director for Jil Sander, it will be interesting to see the process he undergoes to create couture Dior.
– in Theatres this Friday the 24th of April in Montreal at Cinema DuParc

She’s no designer, but her influence is equally significant. This 94 year-old artist, interior designer, and business woman, finally gets her time on the big screen and gives us a glimpse into her life. It’s sure to be an inspiring film considering her years of experience. This past year highlighted the Golden Age of Fashion, it seems fitting to have this film release this month.
– in theatres April 29th in the US.
